Hawkes Bay Dressage Champs
Landro-L and Christine took out the Advanced Championship after a winning all four classes over the weekends competitoin. Christine was competing five horses at the Championships with her novice horses getting an outing prior to Christmas for some solid performances. [more]

2009 working students
This year we took on 2 eventing working pupils Helen Bruce and Jessie Campbell. Both worked very hard to gain 2 of the 5 spots of the young rider trans-tasman team to Australia held recently. This team went onto win the teams trans tasman competition and Helen placed third in the individual competition. Helen ended up having a super season taking out the new novice championship ahead of underdiscussion and FIS Jet  at Woodhil [more]

Great year for Clifton eventers
Donna and Jock have been both fighting out the eventing competitions though out the season which is great for the sport and a big credit to Frances Stead and her insight to pushing eventing in nz forward. She is a major support to the 3 of us and Donna and I for many years. Congratulations to Frances and Jock for their wins at Horse of the year and Richfield's it is great to be involved with you both in the training of the clifton horses.  [more]

FIS horses in America
This year we had Simone Kann over from america for a few weeks after horse of the year. She was here to compete some horses that she had brought here before before taking them back to America. She had lots of success while here especially on Mighty legend. We also look forward to hearing more about the very talented young horse Balmoral FIS Archie. Landro-L goes public

Landro-L goes public
Landro-L wowed attendees at the Stallion Parade held in Cambridge with his calm nature, presence and athletic movement. Landro-L completed a musical display for a large audience showing his talent and outstanding temperament as Christine put him through his paces. Christine suffered a broken foot so Landro was 4 weeks without full work and still maintained his impeccable manners. [more]

6 Horse of the Year Titles
Christine trained six major title winners in the Show Ring at the 2007 Kelt Capital Horse of the Year. The Duncan Family, Natasha Otto, Vanessa and Lyndsay Everton all enjoyed success in the winners circle. Christine herself won the Lady Rider of the Year title claiming her own spot in the New Zealand Showing Team to travel to Australia in November this year. Natasha Otto and Regal Roma won the coveted Hack of the Year title ending the six year dominance of 'El Sid'and Gaylene Lennard [more] [View Image]
