Strathfield Farm
Christine Weal and Strathfield Farm are located on the edge of Te Awamutu, a small rural town located 20 minutes south of Hamilton and 15 minutes west of Cambridge.
Strathfield farm is peacefully set on rolling pastures with a quiet rural outlook. A sand dressage arena is in constant use complimented by open fields and farm raceways for walking horses out. Comfortable stables, outdoor sand yards and well fenced paddocks are available for housing your horse during its stay with Christine.
Christine Weal
Christine comes from a strong horse orientated family and has grown up around sport and race horses. She has extensive knowledge and excellent horsemanship skills. Christine specialised in dressage training from the age of 16 and has had consistent success as a rider and trainer ever since making this decision.
Christine enjoys working with a wide range of clients from dressage, showing, jumping and eventing. She also works with a few racing stables helping with pre-training schooling of horses.
Christine focusses her own competitive riding in Dressage and enjoys the occaisional opportunity to show horses in the show ring. As a coach she provides in-competition support to her clients across all disciplines.
Down to earth service that gets results
Christine is able to provide agistment, live-in schooling and pre-season preparation for your horses as well as coaching clinics and invidual training sessions for you.
Christine also has for sale quality, trained horses ready for competitio in dressage, eventing or jumping.
Your goals and objectives are Christines primary focus and she has a reputation for being able to improve your horse's 'way of going' and competitive performance while ensuring he is still a joy for you to ride.
You will always find Christine down to earth in her approach. Christine will work with you to ensure you understand what needs to be done to meet your goals, how to go about making progress and will help you break your goals down into manageable steps. Christine will also take a holistic view of your training from feeding and veterinary care to training and competition plans.

Zoie Gray
Zoie joined Strathfield Farm in 2010 as Stable Manager. Zoie supports Christine with the management and training of horses at Strathfield Farm and competes the young jumping and eventing horses.
Zoie has worked in a variety of stables across Australia before coming to New Zealand to work with Christine.
Landro-L; imported from Germany in 2007 and successfully competed by Christine in New Zealand. Landro-L has left some lovely youngstock which Christine is looking forward to training. Unfortunately Landro-L died unexpectedly in 2010.
