Dressage Rider and Trainer
Christine Weal is a well known dressage rider and trainer in New Zealand. She has a long history of success in advanced level competition as well as consistently starting young horses in their competitive career.
Christine has represented New Zealand 6 times, has been advanced level national champion twice and has either won or placed in the NZ Young Dressage Horse Championship since its inception.
She has trained advanced level riders, national champions, international representatives and has herself invested 10 years into obtaining internatinal dressage training experience and knowledge.
Training Philosophy
"Performance focussed training that meets the riders goals for achievement, enables a harmonious and fun partnership for horse and rider while bringing all available talent out of the horse"
Christine first and foremost ensures that riders understand what is required to achieve their performance goals, she then clearly assesses the current limitations and barriers to performance for both horse and rider and will then systematically use exercises and training routines to build the required strength, understanding and confidence to achieve the desired outcomes. At all times Christine will ensure you as the rider understand where you are up to, why she is working with you the way she is and what the next steps in the programme are.
Her down to earth style, honest communication and relaxed approach ensure that riders and horses, no matter what their previous experience, are able to learn, understand, experience progress and most importantly enjoy their dressage training!
