The Strathfield Farm and FIS stables are located in Te Awamutu and run by dressage rider and trainer Christine Weal and her team. Horses for Dressage, Eventing, Jumping and the Show Ring are produced, trained and competed.
Dressage Rider and Trainer Christine Weal offers you coaching and training that will see you achieve your personal riding and competition goals. Having spent over ten NZ winters training in Europe at some of the best stables in the world she has the experience to be able to support you train your horse, school and compete your horse for you or help you find that special next horse to partner with in your riding career.
Christine will work with you honestly and openly to help you achieve whatever it is that you want to achieve with your horse.

Christine, trains and takes in for schooling a large variety of competitive and recreational horses and riders across the three Olympic disciplines of Dressage, Jumping and Eventing as well as horses from the Show Ring. After growing up round race horses through many years of family involvement, Christine still holds a keen interest in pre-training racehorsses. These horses have gone onto be very successful for their trainers and owners after leaving her stable up to group one level.
The horses she has sold, produced and found for clients have gone on to be very sucessful both Nationally and Internationally with many national titles to their credit.
Christine has trained riders to win National and International titles in Dressage, Eventing and in the Show Ring. She also mentors young riders coming through and many of these talented young riders have gone onto represent New Zealand.
